Our Gold Coast location offers easy access to many activities.

Within easy walking distance, you will find:  Snorkeling; Jameson’s By the Sea, a fine dining restaurant; and White Sands Beach (also known as Magic Sands Beach).  ‘Magic Sands Beach’ is so named for its unique beach activity when the sands are often stripped away by heavy seas and currents.  This offers a good vantage point for watching the seasonal humpback whale migration (approximately January through April).
The town of Kailua-Kona is nearby.  Kahalu’u Beach Park, a great snorkeling beach and park, is just a few minutes south.  Kona Country Club is three miles south, with two championship courses:  the “Ocean” course and the “Mountain” course, a pro shop, driving range, restaurant and lounge.  Beautiful Hapuna State Park, with a large sandy beach nearly 700 yards long, is about a 55-minute drive north on Hwy 19.  Swimming is good, given favorable weather, and lifeguards are on duty.  The dramatic Volcanoes National Park is a quick Helicopter ride away, or about a two hour and twenty minute drive.  Star Gazing on Mauna Kea is always a favorite!
